Later continue drive for Munnar - This beautiful hill station was once the summer capital of the British Government in India. The never ending vast expanse of tea plantations and round the year moderate climate makes it a little haven for visitors. On the way visit the very famous Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls. After breakfast visit to Echo Point and Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Tea Plantation and Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai). Echo Point is yet another picturesque spot that lies about 15 km from Munnar. As the name indicates, this place is famous for its natural echo phenomenon. It is a common sight to witness tourists standing on the bank of the scenic lake, shouting out and grinning in glee to hear their own voices bounce back!. Mattupetty dam is a concrete gravity dam and now a haven for many wild animals and birds thanks to the constant supply of water. Boating on the still waters of the lake is an ideal way to enjoy the surrounding tea gardens and wilderness. Eravikulam National Park - A former hunting preserve of the British planters, the Park today exemplifies wildlife at its best. It was declared a Sanctuary in 1975 with the intention of protecting the indigenous population of Nilgiri Tahr (highly endangered mountain goat). Overnight stay at Munnar.
