After breakfast proceed for sightseeing. You can Visit the magnificent Mehrangarh fort which dominates the town ringed with its massive protective walls. There are seven gates that lead into the fort. Inside the fort is a series of courtyards and palaces. The palace apartments with marvelously carved panels, latticed windows have evocative names such as Sukh Mahal (Pleasure Palace), Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), the Phool Mahal (Flower Palace) and the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors). These palaces house a fabulous collection of trappings of Indian royalty including a superb collection of palanquins, elephant howdahs (used when the Maharajas rode their elephants in processions), miniature paintings, musical instruments and costumes. Continue your tour to Jaswant Thada, located a short distance from the fort, just off the fort road, is a white marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The cenotaph built in 1899, was followed by the royal crematorium and three other cenotaphs that stand nearby. Rest of the day is free for shopping / Own activities. After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Jaisalmer – mean the Hill Fort of Jaisal and is sometimes called the Golden City of India because the yellow sandstone used in every architecture of the city gives a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area. Situated in the middle of the vast Thar Desert, it is crowned by a commanding fort etched in yellow sandstone, with all its awesome splendour, dominating the amber-hued city. The fort actually functions as intended and is still the site of an entire living area, home to a quarter of the population. Late afternoon drive to Khuri / Sam Dunes and check into Jasisalmer Desert Camp. Enjoy tent activities like camelback ride into the desert to watch the sun set, cultural program (Rajasthan Folk Dance). This enables you to discover the rich desert culture and meet the colorful tribal people. We will provide a special dinner in Camp. Overnight stay at Camp.
After breakfast proceed for city sightseeing visiting; The Jaisalmer Fort also known as Sonar Qila (the Golden Fort). Then continue to visit the Patwon-Ki-Haveli, built by Guman Chand Patwa, one of the wealthiest merchant of the time took over fifty years to complete; Salim Singh ki Haveli, believed to have been built about 300 years ago; Nathmalji ki Haveli is a late 19th century mansion that was built for Diwan Mohata Nathmal, then Prime Minister of Jaisalmer. Bada Bagh Not just sand dunes and forts but Jaisalmer is also known for Bada Bagh, a garden with rich historical significance. While it may not be lush green as opposed to the conventional gardens you see, you will find quite a lot of cenotaphs here dedicated to every royal king and queen of the Bhatti dynasty. The Gadsisar Lake is one of the most famous tourist places in Jaisalmer which was built by Raja Rawal Jaisal, the first ruler of Jaisalmer. In the later years, Maharaja Garisisar Singh rebuilt and revamped the lake. This historic lake is located towards the south of Jaisalmer city and the entrance to the lake is through Tilon-Ki-Pol, a magnificent and artistically carved yellow sandstone archway.
