Srinagar Arrival

Arrival at Srinagar Airport and transfer to the hotel. Srinagar is famous for its beautiful Dal Lake, Kashmiri cuisine, scenic beauty, and houseboats. It is undoubtedly a fascinating city one should experience at least once in a lifetime. Afternoon proceed for visit to Mughal Gardens "Nishat" (The Garden of Pleasure) and "Shalimar" (Abode of All) and Chesma Shahi (Royal Spring) and Tulip Garden (Subject to operation). Drive along the Lake side on Boulevard. Overnight stay in Srinagar hotel.

Srinagar - Sonmarg - Srinagar (82Kms / 2Hrs One way)

After breakfast  drive to Sonamarg, Located at an altitude of 2,740 m, Sonmarg is an ideal stopover for nature lovers who want to enjoy camping in a hill station. Known as the Meadow of Gold, Sonmarg is the gateway to Ladakh and is known for its verdant and picturesque valleys and snow-clad peaks. Visit to Thajiwas Glacier - located 3 km from Sonmarg and is known for its mystic views and its risky trek. Gulmarg also referred as Meadow of Flowers is a famous Ski Resort & the world’s highest 18 hole Golf Course. One of the main attractions in Gulmarg is the Gulmarg Gondola, the Highest Cable Car in the world. Evening return back Srinagar. Overnight stay in Srinagar hotel.

Day 06
Katra – Vaishno Devi – Katra

Early in the morning we proceed further to visit the Holy temple of Vaishno Devi. This temple is situated on the top of the hill. To visit this temple one has to hire a pony or travel by foot. From Katra the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage is about 12 kms. After visiting the temple we return back to Katra the same day. Overnight at Katra.

Katra - Amritsar (280Kms / 6-7Hrs)

Today morning drive for Amritsar - The second largest city of Punjab, Amritsar is colloquially known as Ambarsar. Amritsar is the spiritual and cultural centre of the Sikh Religion. Amritsar is home to Harmindir Sahib, popularly known as "the Golden Temple," one of  Sikhism’s most spiritually significant and most visited   gurudwaras. After fresh up Witness the Retreat Ceremony at Waga Border - is a road border between India and Pakistan. It is a famous tourist spot nowadays because of the famous beating retreat ceremony that is held every day before sunset. Almost 5,000 people visit the border to be a part of this ceremony. The flag ceremony is conducted by the Indian Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers. Wagah Border in Amritsar is the only road border between India and Pakistan. The border lies on the Grand Trunk Road between the cities of Amritsar, India and Lahore, Pakistan. The border is located at a distance of 22 km from Lahore and 28 km from Amritsar. There is a ceremony that happens every day before sunset and people visit to see the ceremony with great patriotism. Evening visit to Golden Temple The legendary Golden Temple is actually just a small part of this huge gurdwara complex, known to Sikhs as Harmandir Sahib. Spiritually, the focus of attention is the tank that surrounds the gleaming central shrine – the Amrit Sarovar, from which Amritsar takes its name, excavated by the fourth Sikh guru, Ram Das, in 1577. Ringedby a marble walkway, the tank is said to have healing powers, and pilgrims come from across the world to bathe in its sacred waters. Visit the Jallianwala Bagh. Jallianwala Bagh is a public garden in Amritsar in the Punjab state of India, and houses a memorial of national importance, established in 1951 by the Government of India, to commemorate the massacre of peaceful celebrators including unarmed women and children by British occupying forces, on the occasion of the Punjabi New Year on April 13, 1919 in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Colonial British Raj sources identified 379 fatalities and estimated about 1100 wounded. Civil Surgeon Dr. Smith indicated that there were 1,526 casualties. Overnight stay at Amritsar hotel.
